The international journal Kibernetyka ta Systemnyi Analiz is published and copyrighted beginning with 1965 by the V. M.
Glushkov Institute of Cybernetics of the National Academy of Sciences of
Ukraine. Prior to issue No. 4 of 1991, the journal was called
Kibernetika (Cybernetics).
At its source, was the
founder of information technologies in Ukraine, the founder and the first
director of the Institute of Cybernetics, vice-president of the Academy of
Sciences of the USSR, member of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR Victor
Mikhajlovich Glushkov, who was the first editor in chief of the
journal.
Currently, the journal is headed by the director of the
Institute of Cybernetics of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Ivan
Sergienko (editor in chief). The Editorial board and the International Editorial
Board of the journal include the scientists from around the world who provide
high-quality peer-reviewing and selection of the articles for publication, the
experts in the field of cybernetics and information technology.
The
journal publishes articles on:
- software and hardware;
- algorithm theory
and languages;
- programming and programming theory;
- optimization;
-
operations research;
- digital and analog methods;
- hybrid systems;
-
machine-machine and man-machine interfacing.
Simulation, pattern recognition,
artificial intelligence, finite automata, switching theory, and computer logic
are also covered. The journal focuses on fresh formulations of problems and new
methods of investigation.
Since its founding the journal Kibernetyka
ta Systemnyi Analiz (Kibernetika, Kibernetika i Sistemnyi Analiz), was reprinted in full in English
by various publishers in the USA and international publishers of scientific
literature. Currently, it is translated by Springer.
Cybernetics
and Systems Analysis is abstracted or indexed in ACM Digital Library, ANVUR, BFI List, Baidu, CLOCKSS, CNKI,
CNPIEC, Dimensions, EBSCO, EI Compendex, Emerging Sources Citation Index, Gale, Google Scholar, INSPEC, Japanese
Science and Technology Agency (JST), Mathematical Reviews, Naver, OCLC WorldCat Discovery Service, Portico, ProQuest,
SCImago, SCOPUS, TD Net Discovery Service, UGC-CARE List (India), Wanfang, zbMATH.
In 2010, the journal became a member
of Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). COPE is registered
as a charitable company limited by guarantee in the UK. COPE’s principal Objects
are the promotion, for the public benefit, of ethical standards of conduct in
research and ethical standards in the publication of academic journals.
Elsevier, Springer, and Kluwer are also the members of COPE. This made it
possible to increase the quality of publications.
