Abstract. The paper describes a CASE-shell of new type: SWS instrumental system built in accordance with a framework data model. A scheme of the instrumental system is proposed. The list of main user functions of the SWS shows that type designs and formalization of requests to a database with a well-formalized data model and unification and minimization of the interface allow modeling the entirety of users’ requests. The results of a numerical experiment on the real-time formation of OLAP data elements are presented. It is shown that the real-time approach is more advanced.
