Abstract. The properties of the general polyhedron of arrangements for optimization problems on arrangements are investigated in the paper. An edge of the general polyhedron of arrangements is described by the system of equations and inequalities that is a subsystem of the system describing this polyhedron. The criterion of the edge of the general polyhedron of arrangements is obtained and its vertices are described .
