Abstract. The authors consider the problem of optimizing the structure of sown areas, taking into account the risk of crop losses. To solve the problem, we suggest a mathematical model, which is based on the approach used in portfolio optimization theory. It is to maximize the average expected outcome under the constraints on the risk of loss. The optimal solutions obtained by using statistical data are analyzed. Figs: 2. Tabl.: 1. Refs: 7 titles.
