Potentials method for M/G/1/m systems with hysteretic operation strategies

We propose a method to analyze M/G/1/m queueing systems with hysteretic strategies of random dropping of customers and control of service time. We obtain formulas to determine Laplace transforms of the distribution of the number of customers in the system during busy period and of the distribution function of busy period and to calculate stationary characteristics. We test the relations for stationary characteristics on examples using simulation models constructed with the assistance of the GPSS World tools. Tabl.: 2. Refs: 16 titles.
