LINEAR PROGRAMMING PROBLEM FOR OPTIMIZING POWER FLOW DISTRIBUTION
IN A REGIONAL POWER SYSTEM
Abstract. A linear programming problem is formulated to determine the power flow distribution in a regional power system under the criterion of minimum power moment, taking into account transmission line capacities and load levels at network nodes. The conditions for the feasibility of the constraint system are investigated, as well as the properties of the optimal solution. Numerical results are presented for a model electric power system with five backbone nodes and ten load nodes.
